Those who move to Vancouver will find a competitive real estate market relative to its cost of living. As one of the most desirable big cities to live in, homebuyers can expect to find much competition for properties in the area. Acting quickly becomes necessary when buying a new home here, especially in the city's best neighbourhoods.

In terms of the types of homes for sale, Vancouver single-family homes continue to be one of the most sought-after options. Detached homes can range anywhere between $900,000 and $3 million. Luxury homes in Vancouver boast custom design, while Vancouver's waterfront homes may offer stunning water and North Shore Mountain views.
